FON ‘Would they Share?’ Video Contest

We had so much fun creating our Matador videos (www.youtube.com/matadorjoselito), FON wants to share the fun by inviting you to create your own video. The winner will get two roundtrip tickets to Madrid, Spain, a tour & visit with the FON team at our HQ offices, and a three night stay at Martin Varsarsky’s (FON’s founder and CEO) farm in Menorca, Spain!

SHARING IS CARING

Now that we’ve got your attention, here are the details. We want you to make a video of your favorite celebrity sharing (or not sharing!) something. The contents of the video should mimic the celebrity of your choice. For example, would Paris Hilton share one of her dozen’s of doggies? Would Britney Spears share one of her wigs that hide her bald head? Would the Dalai Lama share one of his robes? Would the Queen share a spot of tea? Show how they would (or wouldn’t) share! The cleverer the better, we want to laugh! Each video should be no longer than 90 seconds and must consist of original content. More guidelines and contest rules here

HOW TO SUBMIT

To submit your video, join our YouTube group, by clicking here: http://youtube.com/group/wouldtheyshare and then upload your video to the group. Also, be sure to send us an email at videocontest@fon.com with your name, name of video you uploaded, country, contact details and any other info you would like to include about your video and filming experience. Do not forget to send the link to all your friends so they can vote for you! The top three videos with the most views and highest rankings will win the grand prize. So the more people you can rally to vote for your video, the better! The cleverer the better, we want to laugh! Each video should be no longer than 90 seconds and must consist of original content. WINNER SELECTION

The top three winners will be selected on November 30, 2007, so you’d better get rolling now. FON will then repost the top three winners and have the FON/YouTube community vote on one of the three finalists. The winner's name will be published in the December 2007 issue of FON Newsletter and on FON Web site at fon.com.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that we will only be counting views from videos submitted to the YouTube group, so when posting it elsewhere make sure it’s linked back to the original video you submitted via the group.

Contest Rules

This competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over who is ordinarily resident in the US and UK except for employees of FON Wireless Limited (“FON”) and any of it subsidiaries, affiliates and their immediate families.
The competition consists in: "Developing a video about FON that becomes the most viewed & highest rated viral video in YouTube". For the purposes of this competition, this means a "video about FON" which is any video developed by an individual for which he/she gets the most viewed and highest rated classification according to YouTube viewers.
Video requirements:
- The video shall last 1.5 minutes maximum (30-60 seconds recommended).
- The video format shall be one of the followings:
  - QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files.
  - Recommend MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio.
- It shall consist of original work not previously published.
- It shall not be inappropriate, offensive or defame publicity rights or privacy of any person.
- It shall follow FON's goal of universal, free WiFi.
Entry is only accepted via the web form at www.youtube.com.
FON shall not be held responsible for technical errors in telecommunication networks, Internet access or otherwise, preventing entry at You Tube’s website.
Entrants must supply their name and a valid email address to FON at videocontest@fon.com as the winner will be contacted by email.
Participant entries must be received by midday GMT between 1 September 2007 and 31 October 2007.
FON will post the videos on Joselito's YouTube channel. All submitters will receive an exclusive 100% cotton FON filmmaker T-shirt. Entrants must send request to videocontest@fon.com along with their name, country, contact details and any other info they would like to include about their video and filming experience!
The winner will be chosen by YouTube system that classifies videos entered in its Website as the most viewed and highest rated by its viewers. The YouTube viewer’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner's name will be published in the December 2007 issue of FON Newsletter and on FON Website at www.fon.com
The prize consists in two round trip tickets to FON offices in Madrid, Spain and 3 nights at a Menorca´s farm house on mutually agreeable dates. The availability of the prize is subject to the additional terms and conditions [below].
The prize is not transferable. No cash alternative is available unless otherwise agreed by FON. If for any reason the winner is unable to participate in the prize, FON may select an alternative participant from the shortlist of competition winners.
By entering the competition entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the additional terms and conditions below.
Acceptance of the prize constitutes consent to use the winner's entry, name and photos for editorial or publicity purposes.
The maximum number of entries per person is 5.
