The La Fonera+ has all of the La Fonera’s security and community features, but also incorporates new technology and a second Ethernet port.

Our new router offers better network performance and improved stability. The La Fonera+ also adds new features to make your WiFi experience even better. Four coloured LEDs show Foneros the status of all of their router’s activities: whether it’s online, whether they are connected, and whether they’re sharing WiFi with other Foneros.

The La Fonera+ also comes with an additional Ethernet port. Now thanks to the two ports, you can share WiFi and use the router for connecting to your printer, scanner, and other hardware in your home wireless network.

Finally, the La Fonera+ comes with an improved antenna. While it does not reach as far as the La Fontenna, it boosts your WiFi signal more than its little brother’s antenna.

FON VIDEO PROJECT

Create a viral video about Joselito's adventures roaming the world in search of WiFi! Or perhaps your's is about one of Joselito's cousins or friends? (We're told he has a cousin that's a Japanese Samurai :))

Guidelines:

1.5 minutes maximum (30-60 seconds recommended).
Video format:
- QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files.
- Recommend MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio.
Original work not previously published.
Shall not be inappropriate, offensive or defame publicity rights or privacy of any person.
Subject in keeping with FON's goal of universal, free WiFi.

Posting and Prize:

FON will select videos based on clarity of message, creativity, humor and will post them on Joselito's YouTube channel, including info in this newsletter.
Submitters will receive an exclusive 100% cotton FON filmmaker T-shirt.
